Organic Skincare you could actually eat

QUALITY Every ingredient is chosen for its potency and integrity. Most are certified organic or grown organically by people I personally know and trust. On rare occasions I use a non-organic ingredient of exceptional quality — always clearly marked on the label.

HANDMADE I handcraft every product in small batches on Cortes Island, BC.

RAW & UNREFINED I use raw, unrefined oils and botanical butters — deeply nourishing and healing, and far superior to their refined counterparts.

Most products on the market use refined oils, stripped of nutrients through chemical processing, largely to allow easier scenting. I prefer to work with oils and butters in their whole, unrefined state, and let the natural aroma of the plants and oils guide the scent rather than mask it.

MEDICINAL PLANTS Healing plants are at the core of everything I make. When oil is infused with medicinal plants it transforms — chemically, aromatically, and in its healing properties. An olive oil infused with rose is a fundamentally different substance than what you started with.

I source my plants with care, in order of preference: wildcrafted first, then locally grown, then certified organic from trusted suppliers.

WILDCRAFTED I believe wild plants carry especially potent medicine. Cedar and Cottonwood for example — locally abundant on the BC coast — I harvest myself, directly from the wild.

LOCALLY GROWN Where I can't wildcraft, I source from local growers I personally know and trust.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC For plants I cannot source locally, I purchase from certified organic suppliers of the highest repute.

GENTLE SCENTS My remedies are naturally scented by the combination of plants, flowers and the inherent aroma of the raw oils and butters I use. Where I add essential oils, I choose them for their skin-healing properties and blend them gently and synergistically.

SUSTAINABILITY I make these products with the understanding that we are this planet — what we do to it, we do to ourselves. Every step, from ingredient sourcing to plant harvesting to packaging, is guided by care and low impact. Packaging is recyclable with minimal plastic. Shipping materials are recycled or recyclable. I use nothing disposable. Waste is composted or recycled.
